What's in my diaper bag (a list for adventurers and travelers)
Today's blog post is meant to show you what we use while we are out and about on our adventures. We typically keep enough to have what we need while also making sure to trim any excess so I'm not lugging around a 30 pound baby AND a 30 pound diaper bag. Maddux's needs have changed now that he no longer is on a bottle or drinking formula, so the inside of our bag looks a bit different these days. I have linked all the things found inside here:
We mostly keep the obvious (diapers, wipes, snacks) but we also have found a couple of things that are helpful. One is these is the Yumbox. This little lunchbox keeps food fresh all day while still being compact enough to keep in my diaper bag. We use it every time we leave the house and you can throw it right in the dishwasher when you get home. Score!
I also love the disposable table cloths that stick to the table. Before I was a mom I thought I would never have a kid who made messes all over a restaurant (HAHAHA FOR THINKING I WAS GOING TO BE ANY TYPE OF PARENT - ENTER REALITY) but now I know better. I try to keep him contained within his space for his food but he still tends to get things everywhere, so I throw one of these down and it's a two second clean up so I don't have to leave the restaurant apologizing to the employees and completely embarrassed.
One of the best ways to keep Maddux entertained while we are out is with the little baby iPad called a Boogie Board. It's clean, easily fits in my bag, and erases in an easy enough way to draw endless pictures. Love it!
We also love using our Lilyjade bag, as it has an insert to keep everything organized (my previous bag didn't have this and I spent a pretty penny having to buy one. I LOVE that this has one that comes with the bag - and it matches!). It also has a rollout diaper changing pad for those times when you just can't find a changing table (which seems to be ALWAYS on the east coast??). Plus, the colors are to die for! Let me know if you have any questions, or if you have any diaper bag must have's that I should check out!
