Hi.

Welcome to our blog! We are happy you are here and are excited to share in our adventures!

Mom & I Take NYC

Mom & I Take NYC

I am SO sorry I have been so slow and inconsistent about blogging lately. We were in the middle of some big plans that were taking a lot of my attention, and then my husband received a calling for our church that sort of put everything (including my blog) on hold. Life is kind of back to normal now, and I am planning on being more consistent going forward!

A few weeks ago, we went down to NYC to meet up with some family. We don't live on the same half of the country as ANY of our family so it is always a special occasion when I get to see them. I linked our Youtube video with highlights from it, and there are clips of Maddux with his cousins. I have known these girls since they were born and was always so close to them before we moved. It makes me cry just to think about how much of their lives we are missing! It was so special to meet up with them and explore NYC together!

One of my greatest challenges in married life has been living far away from home for the sake of work. I have talked about this before, but it truly breaks me down at times. I use our adventures as a coping mechanism and it has really helped pull me out of a sad place! I am very close to my family and the distance can be crippling on me emotionally. Adventures like these literally breathe new life in to my soul!

XOXO

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip down the NYC to meet up with our family! It was FREEZING so we spent a good amount of time indoors, but we had a blast!
