Mom & I Take Kimball Farm

Happy MAY friends!

Living on the east coast, I look forward to this month every year. Winter isn't REALLY over on the upper east side until April is over. There are still chilly days, there are still rainy days, but once May arrives.... the earth comes alive again. The brown, dead trees are replaced by green and flowers and the beauty of the world coming back to life. It is incredible! It gives me motivation, pulls me out of my "winter funk" and gives me a skip in my step. I am welcoming May with open arms!

The other day, we had plans to make a trip to Nantucket but the weather was NOT cooperating. Since it was pretty rainy and cold, I decided to just take Maddux for a fun little treat at one of the MANY local ice cream joints. Ice cream in New England is a huge deal. Nearly every town has a dairy with incredible home-made ice cream. People stand in line happily waiting to eat these yummy treats nearly every evening of the summer! One of our favorites is called Kimball Farms. They have several locations, each of which offer something fun and unique. 

Maddux was living his best life eating a cupcake and sharing a soda with mom. He was only interested in treats for about two minutes, before he took off chasing birds and cracking himself up. His zest for life is so fun to witness!
