What I Wish I'd Known About Horseshoe Bend / Antelope Canyon
Welcome to the inaugural post called "What I Wish I Knew About...."! I will try to do videos of the places we travel talking about the in's, out's and detail about the locations so people have a good idea what to expect when they plan to go there themselves! For example, my parents recently went on a cruise in the Caribbean and were researching like crazy to find out if they could get my grandpa who has a difficult time walking in to some of the boat tours in Columbia. I want to provide the details like this, for people who need very specific information. Because this is my first go at it, the video is a little rough. Please excuse that! Enjoy, and if you can even make it to Horseshoe Bend, definitely go!

It’s much closer to Page than I thought, and right off the road.
It’s not wheelchair accessible, and taking a stroller was not for the faint of heart (we only did it because I wanted a secure place to strap Maddux so he wouldn’t fall off a cliff). It’s super sandy and rocky and has a pretty good uphill/downhill (both ways).
Antelope Canyon is also within 5 miles of Page. I always thought both of them were so far out there that only the really outdoorsy people could get there. Not true! It will also cost you about $50/person to get a guide to take you in to it.
Overall, we LOVED our time there. We got a hotel SUPER cheap by using Priceline’s Express Deals. We stayed at a Best Western Plus for about $60 and it was nice and clean and had a delicious breakfast. We call that a WIN!
