Mom & I Take Sedona

During our recent trip to Arizona for my little brother's wedding, we took a day trip to the one and only Sedona. This place is one of the more beautiful places I've been and it's so close to where I grew up. I feel pretty lucky to have spent so much time there! 

Arizona is completely underrated because there is a common misconception that all there is to see is desert and cactus. Believe me, the desert can be INCREDIBLE. In the spring when everything is green and the wildflowers are blooming, the desert is as much of a sight as any forest I've ever been in. The sunsets are indescribable! Arizona, though, is so much more than the beautiful desert vistas. Mountains, rivers, lakes, sand dunes, slot canyons, there is so much to see! All that is truly lacking is the beach. Sedona and the red rocks are well known for a reason. They are iconic! My family and I hiked a small trail called the West Fork Trail. It's flat and easy walking, perfect for small children and sight seeing. I would recommend this place to anybody!
